Fly Qatar Airways Business Class from Miami to Doha: Experience Luxury and Comfort in the Sky

Picture
My family and I flew from Miami to Doha, Qatar on Qatar Airlines in business class. The flight time was around 15 hours. To be honest, the flight was too short and so luxurious.

The seating

The plane that we flew on was an airbus A-350. The business class seating could not get any better. For such a long flight, the seating was arranged in Q-suites. Basically, these are reclining chairs (that go all the way into a bed), large tv screens, huge tray tables that can be stored or opened for use, shelving, storage, and reading lights overhead and adjacent to your shoulders. Each Q-suite is equipped with bathroom amenities and clothing - details below.
A special feature of the Q-suite is that it has doors that close. Yes, doors! This ensures absolute privacy and was probably my favorite feature besides the reclining chair/bed. Below is a photo of my Q- suite.

The arrangement of the seats was one on each side by itself and two together in the middle. The two in the middle have a wall you can put up to separate you and another person if you wish for that privacy.

Seating buttons

While I’m discussing seating, I feel it’s important to go over a few things that can make your flight more comfortable. For an inside look at the seating buttons and some general tips, please see the post linked in the button below!

Food

The food is delicious! I am a person who can’t eat airplane food, but I can eat this airplane food. The menu is diverse for every person. I will say, however, the food I ordered did sell out and I had to get something else. I ordered the tenderloin steak and ended up with the sliders. The sliders were still tasty though and I enjoyed them. For breakfast the flight attendants asked me if I wanted to be woken up to eat and I said yes. I was not a fan of any of the breakfast, however. The French toast had too much going on for me and the croissant was hard, but I managed to eat what I could. Below I will insert the menu as well as photos of my food.

One more thing I will say about the food is I am not a fan of nuts and at one point they did serve them to me. I tried one because I wanted to get the full experience and then I could not stop eating them! They were absolutely delicious- hot and salted just enough- so good.

Beverages

As far as beverages go, I was not disappointed. I quickly ordered an iced tea with lemon for my “welcome drink” and a still water. The tea is not sweet so you will need to request sugar if you prefer sweet tea. The tea and the water were delicious. They also supply you a bottle of water in the storage compartment. For breakfast, I was supposed to get the smoothie but never received it…

Entertainment

The in flight entertainment was great! They had plenty of movies and tv shows. The screen was enormous and headphones were provided and were noise canceling. Below is a photo of my hand next to the screen.

Amenities

Upon arrival to my Q-suite, a pillow, a blanket, and a small package of amenities greated me. The packs were different for males vs females by appearance but they contained the same products.
Here is what was included in the kit:
-sleeping mask
-socks
-anti aging moisturizer
hydrating facial mist
-lip balm
-ear plugs
-a case to hold all the items
Here is what I wish they included:
feminine products (even just one would have been nice in the females only kits)
a hairbrush (really just the foldable comb/hairbrush combo)

If you’re wondering where the toothbrushes are, they are in the bathroom in a drawer along with razors.

Celebrations

I celebrated my 18th birthday onboard this plane and the staff made it really special. They all signed my card in different languages and served me a glass of their signature pink champagne while in the air!

Covid

In addition to the amenity kits, a covid kit is provided. Inside this kit are a mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer is really handy in the moment and to take with you. Now that I’m home, I have some in my car, book bag, and purse because they are so handy and portable. The gloves are really unnecessary but the mask is refreshing. After wearing the old mask for a long time, having a fresh one to change into is really quite nice.

Wrap up

Overall, this flight was really enjoyable. The business class tickets also came with access to the Business class lounge in Doha. If you’re curious about that, I’ve linked the post directly below. If you enjoyed this post but want to know more about business class flying, check out the return flight post coming soon that will be linked here!
