Business Class Tips

There’s a few things I wish I would have known before flying business class. Here are some of my own inside tips and tricks based on things I learned.

Food

Let’s talk food… 
I learned the hard way that sometimes food sells out. In that case, always try and order quickly especially if your seat is in “the back” of the front. If your first choice does sell out, always try and have a backup plan so you’re not clueless on the spot like I was. 
Food is unlimited. On Qatar airlines, food is dine on demand. Order whatever you want, whenever you want, and they will never say no (unless it sells out). 

Ordering food

Since food is unlimited, you will need to order. Ordering can be done by pushing the call flight attendant button. There is one below the TV screen and one on the remote. 

Other buttons 

The light button underneath the TV will activate the reading light overhead. This is handy because then you will not have to reach up and turn it on. 
The chain if buttons that move the seat into a bed are also full of surprises. Push the button in the photo below for a light massage!

Personal device as a remote 

The plane comes with a tv remote included along with a touchscreen tv. You can also connect your device to be your remote, which I recommend from a germ standpoint. It is really easy to connect using a QR code they give you and wifi they provide and then it is easy to navigate through the entertainment. 

Sorting through the entertainment 

Keep an eye out for a drop down in the top right hand corner. This drop down reveals multiple genres that can turn an overwhelming choice of entertainment into an easy selection. 

Activate the plane cameras 

The plane is equipped with cameras that will display on your screen. To access these cameras, go to “my flight” and then it should be the last option on the menu. There are three angles to chose from. 

Toothbrush in the bathroom

If you are looking for a toothbrush, there is a kit with a toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom in a drawer. 

Brushing your teeth

If I were you, I would brush my teeth with a bottle of water. The water in the plane bathrooms has a high chance of having bacteria. That’s why there is a sign not to drink it. With that being said, you definitely don’t want to put that water in your mouth so I recommend using a bottle of water. 

Booking confirmation 

I would recommend printing the flight booking confirmation and bringing it with you. In order to access the business lounge wifi (which you will need to do for the menu) you will need this booking confirmation number.
