Fly with Virgin Australia to Cairns: Comfort, Convenience, and Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef

This is a short blog post about a short hour and a half flight from Brisbane to Cairns (pronounced cans - crazy right?!). Anyway, this was a short relaxing flight. I used pictures and talked about flying both there and back (since it was so short I wanted to include more details). 

The Upgrade

YAY! for an upgrade to business class! On the way there, my mom and I got upgraded to business class and it was lovely to just have a bigger seat and free drinks. 

The Lounge

There was a really nice lounge we got to sit in on the way back. Here's a picture of it. We had a lot of time so we went in there to get something to eat and drink since we had to sped all day at the airport.
The food was good, it was quiet, there was wifi, plenty of chargers, and huge windows to watch the planes by the rainforest. Really liked it! 

The Plane 

The plane itself was nice, but a little dated. On the way back, the flight was less than full and it was late at night so there was plenty of places to sleep, if you so desire. There were no movie screens or anything fancy like that, but these are domestic planes and that is understandable that they are not top of the line for short flights.
