Explore Seaside Beach, Florida: A Picturesque Coastal Gem with Pristine Beaches and Relaxed Charm

I visited here twice and really had a great time! It was a completely different kind of trip than my previous ones. Seaside was the first place I had ever visited with my best friend who will not be pictured due to privacy. We had a great time though and the first time I visited was with my family and the second time was with her family. I highly recommend seaside for all ages, families, budgets, and times of the year. 

Where we stayed 

We booked a condo for about $175 per night just outside of 30A highway (5 minute drive). It is called Carillon Beach and I found it on VRBO. The community was gated and consisted of many cute houses along with condos. There was a pool for the houses and a separate pool for the condo people. The beach in front of the condo was great because it was not crowded compared to the rosemary and seaside beaches but it was a short commute to all the restaurants, night life, and shopping that seaside has to offer. It was also the same quality water and beach as the Rosemary and Seaside beaches.  Honestly, you can’t beat the price at this place so we ended up staying here twice. 

Our Room 

We did stay here twice but I will be focusing this post on our Summer 2020 visit, when we went with my family. Our condo was really nice! Rosemary and PCB areas are largely residential beach communities which can be expensive for just one family but being able to find a really nice condo with a Publix 5 minutes away, the Donut Hole 5 minutes away, and Rosemary beach 5-10 minutes away was the perfect way to save money and have a great time. Here are some photos of our full kitchen, living space, balcony x2, 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, and sleeper sofa condo! The condo was also WiFi equipped.

The Proximity

As I mentioned before, our condo was really close to other areas. 
- Publix is 5 minutes to the right 
- The Donut Hole is 5 minutes to the left 
- Rosemary beach is 8 minutes to the left 
Something I should also add is there is a body of fresh/brackish water around the condos with a dock. I really thought this would mean mosquitoes but honestly I did not encounter any. If you think you might be into fishing I recommend bringing a fishing pole because you can fish on the ocean and you can fish from the dock in the fresh/brackish water as well! 

When we went

My family and I went in summer of 2020. The water was super warm, the days were hot and we had a blast. 

Here in a Hurricane 

There was a hurricane coming through right when we were supposed to go down there. We decided to go anyway, even if it rained the whole time we could really use a change of scenery due to the COVID quarantine. However, we were presented with an everlasting drizzle on the first day and double red flags with serious flooding for the first day and the one after that and then the whole rest of the week we could swim and had waves to boogie board. It was a blast with the waves and as soon as it left then it went super flat.

Of course we did more than just sit on the beach and sleep in our room, but I will be making separate posts on some good restaurants in the area!
