9/6/2022 1 Comment Moving to Miami Most definitely the best decision I've ever made and I have never been so happy in my whole life. After 18 long years of feeling out of place in Georgia, I decided it was time for a change and I took a leap of faith and moved to Miami. I know nobody here, but so far it's been nothing but the best. What am I doing here?I am here to go to the University of Miami. I'm studying ecosystem science and policy on a prelaw track for environmental law. Where I will attend law school is still in suspension; it is possible I will stay here in Miami. Go 'Canes! Advice for Moving Away1. Just do it 2. Take what you use, leave the rest 3. Explore alone, nothings going to happen 4. You're going to grow 5. You're going to lose people and that's part of life 6. Focus on the positives 7. Get out of your comfort zone once a day 8. Take walks 9. Talk to people even if it's minimal 10. You will meet people eventually, don't exhaust yourself trying to do it in 3 days Getting hereOriginally from North Georgia, my mom and I drove down here. We broke our drive up into two days, overnighting in Valdosta South Georgia. The drive was 4 hours to there and then 6 after that. We did a Sunday-Monday drive and it worked out really well.
