8/4/2019 0 Comments DNS Diving Grand CaymanWhile this is not really a place, this is a Scuba company that took my mom and I to many places. These dive sites were full of different fish and were very beautiful! Each one presented something different and we took the time to dive on different parts of the reef all around the island. LocationWALKING distance from Margaritaville was our main pull to this dive operator. They have great reviews and are very professional. They keep their doors locked but will happily buzz you in. TransportationGetting from the shop (or your resort) to the boat was easy. As long as you are within reasonable distance, you can catch their bus which will pick you up and transport you to the boat and back to your resort. The BoatThe boat was a nice and clean. There were only a few people with us, not an overly large crowd. When diving locally, we had a nice flat bottom boat. When going on the outer reef on the north end, we took a center console boat which was a little smaller but there was also less people on board. It was better to have this boat since the waters are rough up there. The Diving Close ByThe reefs are nice, pretty close by. There were much more turtles here than the north side. They have some great fish to look at. After a while though, the diving turns to same old same old. Because of this, I decided to dive the north side in search of a shark. It was pretty sad to know that there were plenty of places to see sharks and there were none. It makes the think of the effects of shark finning. You see all these movies and you know it exists and you know there are repercussions but you don't expect to actually see them. It makes it seem 10x more real when you are looking for sharks for a week and only see one (on the north side). Diving The North SideI found this diving to be much more my speed. The waters above made it more challenging but much more rewarding below the surface. I saw one shark and one eagle ray on the same dive site. I also saw more eels including garden eels which I have not seen in a long time. Overall DNS Diving was great! We had a blast and had some great dives with them. Highly recommend for scuba diving the Grand Cayman Island!
