Stay at Crystalbrook Bailey in Cairns: Modern Luxury and Artful Living in Tropical Australia

What a beautiful place located in the heart of Cairns! It had great food, excellent views, and was a short walk away from shopping and a harbor where many snorkel tours were taking off daily. 

The Decorations 

This was one of the most modern places I have ever been to. It was decorated to my start with a very natural setting. There were lots of plants everywhere with bright lights. The room key was a piece of bamboo that was all natural and could be recycled, instead of using plastic. It was super cute and full of unique high class ideas that made me feel luxurious and down to earth. 

The Food

The food was delicious. I only had the pleasure of eating breakfast here but it was incredible. There were so many choices served on a buffet style. There were even a bunch of choices for juice and drinks. AND to top it all off, they had Australian bacon (same pieces but they don’t like it crispy) and American bacon, which is cooked very well and crispy. It was some of the best bacon I have ever had. 

They also had a beef fridge that was all glass and you could see it hanging in there. I can only imagine how good the dinner and meat must be, but we were quickly leaving after breakfast. 

Our Room

We had a beautiful clean room. We did not spend much time in it but it did have a nice view of the mountains. This place is not very high up in general so we got lucky to see the rainforest area.

WiFi

There was WiFi available here and I had no issues using it!

The Service 

The service was very good. We showed up very late at night, around 11:00 pm and expected to check into our room. They were very nice and helped with our bags, despite it being so late. 

A Cool Backstory

On the way there, our driver told us that the crystalbrook collection had been built by a rich man as businesses to give to his kids, each kid got one hotel to run and they have all turned out beautiful. I was surprised to hear this but I thought it was a cool quick story!

Overall, this was a short stop for us, but I really enjoyed the peace this place brought. We walked around Cairns while staying here for a few hours in the morning and the whole environment felt like a retreat.
