1/17/2022 0 Comments Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve at Centara Grand Maldives: Exquisite Festive Dinners in ParadiseAn amazing experience with the best food! I can’t say enough great things about the Christmas and New Years Ever dinners at Centara Grand Resort! The presentation was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were interactive, and everything was beyond festive. They even had live music! Both events were set up very criminally with nearly the same food and style at each so I am going to divide this into categories and explain each one within to avoid repetition. To attend these meals, each guest did have to pay extra which was $250 per person. The fee was well worth the reward. The FoodDelicious food of all kinds! There was fish, steak, pork, pasta, rice, dessert, and so much more. I ate the prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy for Christmas dinner. For New Years, I ate the same thing with the addition of a small salmon filet and a lobster tail. I tried lots of desserts but my favorite was the cream puff from the cream puff tower. My mom’s favorite was the Mango/Oreo cheesecake which was also really good. The food is all you can eat for the price of $250 per person. The TablesEvery table had table clothes and candles and lots of decorations on them. For Christmas Eve, tables were first come first serve. For New Years Eve, table were assigned. The EntertainmentBoth nights had great entertainment. Christmas Eve had a girl singing Christmas music and a band. New Year’s Eve had a live saxophone player and then a DJ and then the two of them collaborated which was really cool. Below is a video of the saxophone player. He was from Thailand. The FestivitiesChristmas Eve gave everyone Santa hats to wear. New Years Eve had kids face painting and a photo booth set up. The ServiceThe staff was still there to serve drinks and take plates. They did an exceptional job considering the area was probably 3 times more crowded than it usually is at that time. The staff were also dressed up in Christmas attire and some of them even wore colorful wigs. Dress CodeThis is an island and there is no dress code. People did typically wear nice outfits to these dinner, though. I wore a blue dress to Christmas and a white romper to New Years Eve.
