Packing for Florida in October: Essential Items for Your Fall Getaway

What should you pack for a long weekend in Florida in October? Here’s what I brought, what I should have left, and what I should have brought. 

What I brought

The bag I packed in was the pink small carry on suitcase pictured. The bag to its left and right I considered packing in, but left at home. The black backpack standing up holds my dear camera and was taken with me. 
Here is basically a list of everything I brought… 
- 4 t shirts 
- 1 sleep t shirt
​- 1 tank top
- 4 pairs of shorts 
- 1 pair sleep shorts 
- 5 pairs ish of socks 
- 5 bras 
- 6-7 undergarments 
- one pair of leggings 
- 2 athletic tight fit shirts 
- cute skirt 
- cute shirt
- 2 swimsuits
- comb 
- small hair ties 
- brush 
- specific hair cosmetics 
-GoPro case and system 
- iPad case and notes (for an exam)
- sandals 
- flip flops 
- I also brought one sweatshirt and rain jacket but I did not put it in my bag 

What I should have brought

I definitely should have brought more socks and thank goodness I brought the rain jacket because it really saved me during the rain. I also am thinking I should have brought an extra pair of leggings. 

What I should have left

I probably should have left the medicine I brought in the cosmetic section of my bag as well as the four t shirts plus a tank top plus the two athletic shirts when it is relatively rainy could have been left behind.

I hope everyone found this helpful for Florida packing in October! I get colds easily and if you do not then pack for summer. The days are warm, 80’s but during this time we happened to experience some rain, really cooling off the day.
